Happy Birthday Disneyland! I can’t believe it has been 55 years already. Yesterday, July 17, was the 55th anniversary of the Happiest Place on Earth. Born on July 17, 1955, the park took one year and one day to complete. What Walt had created had never been done before and was a brand new idea for mankind, better yet, a brand new dream. Disneyland, may your magic live on, and let your magical power of making dreams come true live on.
Wow it’s been a while…Anyways, Disney has recently released some construction picture of the Disney Dream’s bow. It’s maiden voyage will be January 26, 2011, and construction is perfectly on track. Look’s good!!
Next week, Richard and Robert Sherman, song writers and cast members of Disney will be awarded the most prestiguous award, a window on Main Street U. S. A. Disneyland. I am so happy that these two are finally getting a window. They’ve done so much for not only Walt, but also the whole entire company. I’ve actually met one of the brothers on a Disney Cruise to Mexico. Such a nice man….
When I saw this, I absolutely fell in love with the instruments. Disney has recently gained five basses which Disney Artists have painted on them so that the profits from auctioning them go to Music Education. For more information about this please please please go to the link above and watch the video on the site because it is very interesting.
Finally! Mid-terms are done!!! Haha, and just in time for the imagineers to make a big progress on the Silly Symphony Swings over at DCA. Look for yourself, but I think that its looking pretty good!
Not only is this year the 55th Anniversary of the Disneyland Park in Anaheim, but it is also the 70th Anniversary of Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank. Now I say this because not only is it hugely important, but it also has to do with the next issue of the D23 Magazine. Anyways, I will probably be talking about that a lot this year, so just wanted to give anyone a heads up about all the anniversaries this year!
I was browsing the Disney Parks Blog today and came across this little miracle. Now everyone surely has once wondered what it actually looks like in there. Well recently they posted a picture showing what the room looks like. This picture the blog says it the original furnishings and decorations, so it is surely a rare picture and sight.
