A lot has been happening since most of the refurbishments are done now! Here’s whats been happening:
- The Rivers of America have been reopened, including the show Fantasmic!, Tom Saywer’s Island, and the Mark Twain and Sailing Ship Columbia. On the Mark Twain, the burning house is no longer burning, and more indians have been added to the native american village along with some live horses. More deer have also been added on teh riverbend. Also, the Mark Twain looks better than ever with a new paint job, and the Sailing Ship Columbia has new blue masts.
- The Jamba Juice down in Downtown Disney has been reopened after their remodeling.
- Splash Mountain based off of Disney’s Song of the South, is closed down for some short fix-ups.
- Toy Story 3 Merchandise is now available for sale at various places through the parks. A certain location is the Toy Story Mania shop.
- Toy Story Mania has also added a new segment repleacing Bo Peep’s game with one with Rex and Trixie. Other characters like Losto, Dolly, and Mr. Pricklepants can also be seen throughout the ride.
- Star Wars Weekend has started at WDW. For those of you who don’t konw what this is, it is a celebration that takes place during the summertime at Walt Disney World the celebrates all things Star Wars. This year’s weekend has some pretty funny ads too!
- Red Trolley cars, Cars Land, and the Little Mermaid ride have gotten some advancement in costruction.
- The Silly Symphony Swings in Paradise Pier are very close to being done and have added the swings, lights, and more than half of objects and facades for the waiting areas and observation decks. The ride is said to be opened for the first time later this week.
- A new exhibit, named Day One Disneyland, for the Opera House on Main Street has opened up, showing concept art for the original disneyland. Today’s Imagineers have also contributed to the exhibit by donating their own artwork and inspirations.
