That’s right, more Alice stuff! I saw it again Saturday night, for the second time, and I still love it!!! Now if anyone has seen the movie, the CG in the film is amazing!! Probably equal with Avatar on my standards. If anyone was wondering how they did those amazing effects, Disney released an extroadinary progression reel showing the process for those amazing spectacles, even including the Red Queen’s head!

I found this ad for Disneyland I think about two years ago, and still loving it, I decided it that I should post it. The first couple times I saw it, I admit, I cried; the video is very well put together and so magical. So don’t be schocked if your eyes start leaking.

At the end of old Disney VHSs, they will show how the animation team made the film. Although there are five billion out there, I have found the ones for the Jungle Book and Peter Pan. I remember watching the Peter Pan one from with I was a kid; it makes me so happy.

Every once in a while, Disney will make these documentary movies and there is one that opened last friday. Named Waking Sleeping Beauty, the documentary shares the story of the Walt Disney Animation Studios after Walt Disney died. I am very annoyed about this though, because it seems the film is not playing anywhere!! The same thing happened for me with the Sherman Brothers film too. Anyways, you can pretend you are watching the film, by watching the trailer. Enjoy!

This week’s Disney Fun Fact is:

The bright Carribean tune for “Under the Sea” for Disney’s The Little Mermaid was born on a farm in Pennsylvania. Looking for a feel for the little crustacean’s key/note song, Howard Ashman and Alan Menken struggled  a bit until they rediscovered calypso while working at Alan’s farm. The catchy tune helped define exactly who Sebastian is.

This week’s Silly Symphony is the Birds in Spring. It’s actually a very cute short about a little bird who goes off and gets into trouble with a snake and some bees. Happy Spring and Enjoy!

Last Saturday I saw Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and I love it! I could give a huge speel on it, but to conclude I thought Tim Burton did an awesome job with the story and I highly recommend going and seeing it. So here is a couple of thinks for my fellow Alice fans.

    • This is a review of the movie from Disney News Archives which I agree with them 100%. Except they forgot the Dodo bird.
    • If you are interested in having an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding, this is a site that has good ideas and inspiration in it.
    • Some merch at Disneyland and at Downtown Disney, including the Mad Hatter hat!
