Not only is this year the 55th Anniversary of the Disneyland Park in Anaheim, but it is also the 70th Anniversary of Walt Disney Animation Studios in Burbank. Now I say this because not only is it hugely important, but it also has to do with the next issue of the D23 Magazine. Anyways, I will probably be talking about that a lot this year, so just wanted to give anyone a heads up about all the anniversaries this year!

Well recently they posted  a picture showing what the room looks like. This picture the blog says it the original furnishings and decorations, so it is surely a rare picture and sight.

So remember a while back  I told all you guys that Disney was going to make a resort in Hawaii? Well Disney just released a video that is just that, the proposed plans. It is just a bird’s eye, but it looks pretty cool. The resort is NOT a themepark, just a hotel; but knowing Disney, they are most likely do some big things with it. An idea is that the hotel will open in Augest 2011, which is close. Disney Parks also said that the resort is already under construction on the beautiful island of  O`ahu. The Disney Company has also stated:  ”The official name of the resort is Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, Ko Olina, Hawai`i, which reflects the company’s deep commitment to celebrating the island’s rich history and traditions.”

For more information, please visit their quick video of the plans ( link is above ) or visit the link to the website.

Ah… tonight was a great night for Disney and Pixar, not only did Up get the award for Best Animated Picture, but Up also won Best Musical Score. It was very cute that the director wore the little soda cap pin from the movie; thought that was cute touch. Not only did Pixar Studios do wonderful, but Walt Disney Animation Studios did just as well. Although the film did not win anything, The Princess and the Frog was also nominated for Best Animated Picture. Overall, tonight was a very good night for Disney, I deem it a success. Good Job Disney

Happy New Years Everybody, again! Pretty much every disney blog right now has been doing that “Remember the Past Year” thing so I thought, why not I? So I’m gonna bullet point some of the main things that happened at the Disneyland Park in Anaheim this year:

    • First of all, we cant forget that lovely “Celebration A Street Party” Parade
    • The new Tinkerbell float was added to the Main Street Electrical Parade, replacing the Blue Fairy float
    • The Pixie Hollow Meet ‘n’ Greet replaced Ariel’s Grotto giving you a chance to meet Tinkerbell and her friends
    • The Hall of Presidents reopened, featuring the new President Barack Obama
    • The Bibbidi Bobbiti Boutique opened in Fantasyland
    • Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee! along with her Meet ‘n’ Greet station helped celebrate the new movie
    • Work for the upcoming Cars Land, Ariel Ride, and new Paradise Pier was started
    • The Summer Nightastic featuring the “Magic” Parade, and you can’t forget the new Maleficent, the eels Flotsam and Jetsam, and the new alligator for Fantasmic!
    • Although this is not specifically Disney, you can’t forget the launch of the D23 community and the awesome D23 Expo
    • And last but not least, the “Halloween Screams” fireworks and the Ghost Galaxy version of Space Mountain

Overall, I think that this was a very succesful year for Disneyland. Although many other things happened in the parks, this is just a small portion and is really just the main points that I wanted to bring out. Hopefully, and surelly, Disney will do just as a good of a job as they did this year.
