These are all videos promoting Disney’s new campaign, “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day.” Bascially you volunteer with Disney you get a free day at any Disney park. It’s actually a really good idea. All information is with the ads and videos above, so I won’t list information that is easy to get. Go Disney and Muppets! They’re so cute!
This weeks Silly Symphony is the Robber Kitten. It was released to the public in 1935 and is pretty cute. The story line is about this little kitten who pretends he’s a robber, and when his mother tells him it’s time for a bath he runs away from home. Along the way he meets a real robber and lets just say “There’s no place like home!”
The tapping sound coming from the Depot at the Disneyland Railroad station in New Orleans Square is a line from Walt’s opening day speech ["To all who come to this happy place, welcome..."] in a varient of Morse code. However, early on in the park’s history, the designers varied the messages, and often, for fun, they would make them off-color comments- until Walt happened to mention that his wife had been a telegraph operator and could decipher Morse code.

I recently discovered some very cute videos on youtube that include the Mad Hatter, Alice, and Peter Pan, so I am going to share with you. Most of the videos are from TangoMaureen07, while the last one is from Dlaurora1955. They’re pretty hilarious and are some of those adorable moments that can only happen at Disneyland. The first video is of Peter hiding from the Mad Hatter behind the leaf. This one isn’t as funny as the other ones but is still pretty silly.
The second one is of a joke at the Coke Corner, between muscial chair rounds. I love Peter in this one. Its like perfect timing on his part!
The third one is kind of only funny in the beginning. In case you don’t get it, there is a stationary Dumbo car is the back that kids can go in for pictures. So the Hatter goes in thinking that it flys but to his dismay it does not, so he tells Peter Pan to give it Pixie Dust, but Peter is still hiding. Its actually pretty funny.
The last one is hilarious. Hatter tells Alice to go into this little space between the gates and a ticket building and gets stuck. “I learned a very good lesson, you shouldn’t go there.”
MiceChat has recently released some information that is hard to tell if it is true. A recent article on MiceAge has said that Al Lutz, and internet journalist said that a Starbucks is going to be in the Market House bakery on Maint Street U.S.A., and that will also be on New Buena Vista St in DCA. AIt is said that all coffee in restaurants will be changed to the Starbucks brand. Although this is a good investment for Disney if this is true, if they are trying to keep outside restraunts like McDonalds and Burger King out, why are they letting Starbucks in? I want to here your guy’s responses so please leave comments!!!
Ever wanted to see what disneyland looked like from above?Well now you can! With Google Earth I was able to get a snapshot of what Disneyland looked like from above. In the picture below, you can see the castle! Pretty cool huh?
Here a some pictures of DCA at night! The first one is the Twilight Zone’s Tower of Terror, which has some orange projection of a black cat I think. The second picture is of California Screamin’ with a Mickey Jack o lantern projection. They’re actually pretty cool!
