This week’s Silly Symphony of the Week is Broken Toys. It came out on November 30, 1935 and is about a sailor toy who gets dumped in, well, a dump! He rounds up the other toys and together they make themselves ready for children again. It’s pretty cute and the ending is very sweet. Enjoy!

This week’s Silly Symphony is Little Hiawatha. It was released in 1937, and is about a little Native American boy who goes hunting. Although he has a rough time at it, he makes new friends in the wilderness and learns some lessons about hunting. I thought it was very cute, not my favorite Silly Symphony ever, but still very likable. Enjoy!

This weeks Silly Symphony is the Robber Kitten. It was released to the public in 1935 and is pretty cute. The story line is about this little kitten who pretends he’s a robber, and when his mother tells him it’s time for a bath he runs away from home. Along the way he meets a real robber and lets just say “There’s no place like home!”

Last week, I forgot to put up a Silly Symphony, so this week you get two! This week’s Silly Symphony is Willie the Whale, but since it is in two parts (because this symphony is so long) I am counting it as two short films. Willie is an opera singing whale, who is waiting to be discovered, and this is the story of his career! It’s a very sad story, but I think it has such wonderful heart to it. Enjoy!
