Well this has been a very fun weekend. I’ve bascially have been watching Tim Burton movies. Ha! So Sunday I watched Beetlejuice, Monday; Edward Scissorhands, and yesterday, Tuesday, I watched the Nightmare Before Christmas for about the five zillionth time. So I’d say that was a very productive weekend. Two of the three movies I have never seen before and I was very happy with them, Beetlejuice and Edward S. I have always wanted to see the two movies and I have to say I was very pleased. Edward Scissorhand, probably one of the most saddest film soundtracks I have ever heard. I can understand why this is Burton’s and Depp’s most personal film they have made from watching the behind the scenes and such. I love Edward’s innocence, his curious eyes, and the wonderful costume, the directors chose for him. Although I wished Kim had stayed with him… Oh well.
Then Beetlejuice! That is an interesting movie I have to say. The only thing I have to say is that I wish that Lydia had married Beetlejuice. I think that they are such a cute couple! Especially in the old animated show. I also like the sand worms from Saturn. Haha. So overall, I thought that this was a very productive weekend!
The Three Movie Posters:
Oh and a hilarious picture I found of Beetlejuice and the Joker from Batmam, I started cracking up!!
On Sunday I went to the Cinema and watched Toy Story 3. Wonderful movie, and it did bring tears to my eyes. I thought that Pixar and Disney did a wonderful job bringing the cast back especially with all the new characters such as Dolly, Ken, Twitch, and especially Lotso. Lotso was a wonderful villian, and although the baby doll personally freaked me out, his anger dowards it was just emotion like I had never seen before in a CG film. I highly recommend seeing the movie whenever you have a chance, the movie had so many different thrills in it that it was amazing, so here’s my review! Careful! Spoilers!!
Plot: The plot for the movie was amazing. I had only an idea of what it would be but overall, I didn’t expect any of it. I love the break out scenes in the day care, so much like a prison movie! And everything else was amazing.
Characters: I am now in love with Woody and Spanish Buzz! They did an awesome job of bringing Andy’s original toys back, and the new ones too. I bet the animators and the design team had a fun time creating all those new characters.
Music: I was so happy that they brought back “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” and at the end, in spanish!! Haha, I was laughing so hard. Anyways, great job Randy Newman!
Overall, I thought the movie was a real treat and exceeded all my expectations. A+
The new trailer (teaser) for Disney’s upcoming film Tangled has finally come out!!! It looks really good, although I imagined Rapunzel looking a little bit different. The CG looks amazing, especially her hair, I also like her green eyes, something different from the standard blues and browns. And the guy, Flynn; Ugh!, that will be a good character to watch, and the little chameleon dude. He totally pushed him out the window.
Hi everyone! I found this video a while ago ( I’ve been into the batman series lately) and I found this pretty good video of a mashup between the Batman Dark Knight trailer and Aladdin. It is actually really well done, and if you have no idea who some of the characters are here’s some help:
Here are some pictures of Thomas Kinkade’s work for the Disney Dreams Collection. These were emailed to me and I thought they were absolutely beautiful and thought I would share them. I’ve actually seen the one with Cinderella and the prince walking over the bridge and it is simply amazing.
At the end of old Disney VHSs, they will show how the animation team made the film. Although there are five billion out there, I have found the ones for the Jungle Book and Peter Pan. I remember watching the Peter Pan one from with I was a kid; it makes me so happy.
Every once in a while, Disney will make these documentary movies and there is one that opened last friday. Named Waking Sleeping Beauty, the documentary shares the story of the Walt Disney Animation Studios after Walt Disney died. I am very annoyed about this though, because it seems the film is not playing anywhere!! The same thing happened for me with the Sherman Brothers film too. Anyways, you can pretend you are watching the film, by watching the trailer. Enjoy!
Last Saturday I saw Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and I love it! I could give a huge speel on it, but to conclude I thought Tim Burton did an awesome job with the story and I highly recommend going and seeing it. So here is a couple of thinks for my fellow Alice fans.
This is a review of the movie from Disney News Archives which I agree with them 100%. Except they forgot the Dodo bird.
If you are interested in having an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding, this is a site that has good ideas and inspiration in it.

There’s a rumor going around about Dumbo being on Broadway? I would like to see that happen, would be interesting… I can’t really see it happening, but I’m sure Disney will do something fantastic

Next week, Richard and Robert Sherman, song writers and cast members of Disney will be awarded the most prestiguous award, a window on Main Street U. S. A. Disneyland. I am so happy that these two are finally getting a window. They’ve done so much for not only Walt, but also the whole entire company. I’ve actually met one of the brothers on a Disney Cruise to Mexico. Such a nice man….
