Rivers of America have finally finished their construction!! There are so many things that they changed it’s crazy! Courtesy of Disney Park Blogs they have mad a list of the changes and additions they made to the wild frontier.
Here’s a recap of some of the major changes:
The area was themed in a brand-new way and divided into four regions to resemble the areas around four U.S. rivers: the Mississippi, the Columbia, the Potomac and the Rio Grande.
A new, 2,500-foot track for the Mark Twain Riverboat and the Sailing Ship Columbia was installed for the first time since the park opened in 1955.
For the first time, live animals have been introduced to the banks of the river, and a corral was built just for them. Don’t miss the real, live horse in the video. It’s real – it’s not an Audio Animatronic!
The burning cabin was re-themed. The new resident of the cabin is none other than Mike Fink, Davy Crockett’s rival and later his friend. Mike Fink’s Keel Boat can now be found in front of the cabin.
There are several new scenes in the attraction, including:
Deer drinking from a creek
Native American braves on Tom Sawyer Island
Raccoons spied by a skunk
Mountain lions hiding in the grass -

Introduced at the E3 convention, Disney and Nintendo Wii are releasing a brand new video game called Epic Mickey. The story talks about lost Disneyland characters and the painting process characters go through. Although it is very intresting, it is also hard to explain. My friend had sent me a link to this video, and I thought it explained the concept very well.

Happy Birthday Disneyland! I can’t believe it has been 55 years already. Yesterday, July 17, was the 55th anniversary of the Happiest Place on Earth. Born on July 17, 1955, the park took one year and one day to complete. What Walt had created had never been done before and was a brand new idea for mankind, better yet, a brand new dream. Disneyland, may your magic live on, and let your magical power of making dreams come true live on.

Well this has been a very fun weekend. I’ve bascially have been watching Tim Burton movies. Ha! So Sunday I watched Beetlejuice, Monday; Edward Scissorhands, and yesterday, Tuesday, I watched the Nightmare Before Christmas for about the five zillionth time. So I’d say that was a very productive weekend. Two of the three movies I have never seen before and I was very happy with them, Beetlejuice and Edward S. I have always wanted to see the two movies and I have to say I was very pleased. Edward Scissorhand, probably one of the most saddest film soundtracks I have ever heard. I can understand why this is Burton’s and Depp’s most personal film they have made from watching the behind the scenes and such. I love Edward’s innocence, his curious eyes, and the wonderful costume, the directors chose for him. Although I wished Kim had stayed with him… Oh well.
Then Beetlejuice! That is an interesting movie I have to say. The only thing I have to say is that I wish that Lydia had married Beetlejuice. I think that they are such a cute couple! Especially in the old animated show. I also like the sand worms from Saturn. Haha. So overall, I thought that this was a very productive weekend!

On Sunday I went to the Cinema and watched Toy Story 3. Wonderful movie, and it did bring tears to my eyes. I thought that Pixar and Disney did a wonderful job
bringing the cast back especially with all the new characters such as Dolly, Ken, Twitch, and especially Lotso. Lotso was a wonderful villian, and although the baby doll personally freaked me out, his anger dowards it was just emotion like I had never seen before in a CG film. I highly recommend seeing the movie whenever you have a chance, the movie had so many different thrills in it that it was amazing, so here’s my review! Careful! Spoilers!!Plot: The plot for the movie was amazing. I had only an idea of what it would be but overall, I didn’t expect any of it. I love the break out scenes in the day care, so much like a prison movie! And everything else was amazing.
Characters: I am now in love with Woody and Spanish Buzz! They did an awesome job of bringing Andy’s original toys back, and the new ones too. I bet the animators and the design team had a fun time creating all those new characters.
Music: I was so happy that they brought back “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” and at the end, in spanish!! Haha, I was laughing so hard. Anyways, great job Randy Newman!
Overall, I thought the movie was a real treat and exceeded all my expectations. A+

The new trailer (teaser) for Disney’s upcoming film Tangled has finally come out!!! It looks really good, although I imagined Rapunzel looking a little bit different. The CG looks amazing, especially her hair, I also like her green eyes, something different from the standard blues and browns. And the guy, Flynn; Ugh!, that will be a good character to watch, and the little chameleon dude. He totally pushed him out the window.
